The 50th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 23rd April 1863 over the Ditch Mile, was Lady Augusta (100/30), a chestnut filly by Stockwell out of Meanee, owned by the 7th Earl of Stamford. The winner won by 3 lengths in 1 minute 48 secs, with a further 3 lengths back to the third. A field of 10 runners contested the race which was worth £3,600 (Equivalent to £403,200 in 2017)
